Congratulations to the Tijerinas!

We are excited to announce the May winner of the Chimneystone yard of the month!

The Tijerinas are the first to win accolades for their beautiful yard located on the 3900 block of Barrel Hoop Cir. Shirley Tijerina was so very excited and honored when we informed her that their yard won!

When we arrived to award the prize and recognition for May, she asked if we would like to see her backyard as well. We were thrilled to take a peek. To say we were left with a sense of “yard envy” is mild. The Tijerinas exemplify what it means to take pride in not just the curb appeal of their home, but also took care to make sure their backyard was just as appealing.

It was a true wonderland as well as a peaceful retreat established for their family. The lush plants and décor were so well thought out. I am happy we were given permission to share what we saw with the rest of you, in addition to their front yard.

When I asked Shirley what their secret was to maintain a beautiful yard, she simply said “Research. I research plants and learn how they will best fit with the climate and landscaping as well as where best to place them. Once I’ve done the placement and planting, my yard team maintains them and do a great job.”

We were certainly able to see this for ourselves and hope it inspires you as much as it inspired us.
