Congratulations to Edda of the 2700 block of Old Fort Rd, this year’s Yard of the Month winner for May 2025!

Edda was thrilled to hear that she was a winner this year—something she had set her sights on since last year.

When asked about her motivation for maintaining a beautiful yard, Edda shared that she simply loves working in her yard and enjoys using color. The vibrant color is evident and is one of the features that makes her yard stand out. She strives to make it cohesive and appealing—and it shows!

Edda recalls that when she first moved to the community, the yard did not look its best, and the surrounding area was in need of some cleanup. She rolled up her sleeves and put a great deal of effort into making sure her yard was the best it could be.

We hope her yard inspires a competitive streak in others, just as it did for her.

Edda has been a resident of the Chimneystone community for nearly 20 years.
